Breuil-Cervinia is one of the world’s top ski resorts with the best snow record in Italy. It is located in Northwest Italy, at the foot of the Matterhorn peak, off the Aosta Valley. The Plateau Rosa glacier at 3,480 metres connects the high altitude ski area of Cervinia with both Zermatt and Valtournenche in Switzerland.
Originally a mountaineering spot, Breuil-Cervinia has become a welcoming village with different architectural styles and easy access to the ski slopes. The place is particularly vibrant during the weekends when Italian day-visitors from the surrounding cities come to enjoy the beautiful views and take part in different activities. Most of the ski slopes are facing south, which is also an upside for sunseekers working on their tan.
