Nagpur public transportation system consists of bus and metro system. The city bus network operated by NMPL (Nagpur Mahanagar Parivahan Limited) owns a fleet with around 470 buses covering most of the central and suburban area. The buses run on ethanol since 2014, making the city first one to use this gas to power buses.
The Nagpur Metro was opened in 2019, and it has two lines. Some of the stations are operational, while most of the stops are still under construction.
