The bus service in the city offers more modern and quicker way of transport but also more expensive than by train. The public bus system works from 4:45 am to 11:15 pm and they have routes that go directly to the main areas in the city and its tourist attractions.
The train station is located one mile from downtown and it offers daily trains to Budapest and Vienna as well as other international trains and several Romanian cities.
The tram service is the oldest in the city and has older models, but they are comfortable enough for travel. Their stations are equipped with digital panel, so you can track their whereabouts.
The trolleybus system is relatively new in the city. You should always purchase a ticket beforehand and validate it upon boarding.
