There are 3 tram lines, serving all the major parts of Bordeaux. The first line A is a modern tramway that runs from east to the west of the city, through the urban area. The B line connects the south part of Bordeaux to the north part. The third one, C line, operates from north to the south of the city, including the inner-lying neighbourhoods.
Bordeaux train station, Gare St-Jean is about 3 km from the city centre. This station is one of France’s major rail-transit points. The train station handles regular national and international routes.
